The legal register details legislation that an organisation must comply with due to its activities. The purpose of the register is to assist your company in complying with its legal obligations, therefore maximising the likelihood of the company's management, staff and contractors complying with the law.

Why you need to define Statutory and Regulatory Requirements for your ISO Management System (MS)
1 Scope
This International Standard specifies requirements for a quality management system when an organisation:
- needs to demonstrate its ability to consistently provide products and services that meet customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements, and
- aims to enhance customer satisfaction through the practical application of the system, including processes for improvement of the system and the assurance of conformity to customer and applicable statutory and regulatory requirements.
All the requirements of this International Standard are generic. They are intended to apply to organisations, regardless of their type or size or the products and services.
